First, we have our lovely Christmas tree and yes I purposely took a picture of just the bottom because every ornament that Mya hung up is there, hanging off the last row of silver beads. It just cracked me up because she thought it looked just fine. After she and Gabe had moved on to something else I did move quite a few of them, but I just had to take a picture first.
I meant to put this next picture in the Thanksgiving post but here it is anyway. Every morning that Nae was off over Thanksgiving this was the scene in our kitchen:
since he normally leaves for work at 5:30 it's a real treat to have Daddy home for breakfast. It's even more of a treat because Daddy is very kind and patient and lets ALL 3 of them "help" cook. And, when I say help they really do it all from cracking the eggs to flipping the pancakes. It's amazing that it usually turns out edible.We made these little Christmas houses today from this website, and Gabe and Mya really got into decorating them. It was a fun little project.
Finally, tonight was the Nashville Christmas parade so for the second year in a row we bundled up and headed down town to witness the festivities. It doesn't start until 7 and we were actually a few minutes late because traffic was so bad. We were more prepared this year and brought the wagon and blankets to sit on; we also were all really bundled up - our van thermometer said it was 27 degrees. You'll never guess which child enjoyed it the most - Mya. I couldn't believe it but she sat with me on the curb and waved and talked about all the "Beautiful Princesses." (ie beauty pageant girls) and had a great time. Alena enjoyed it for about the first half and then wanted to run out into the street to get a better look so I bribed her with dumdums that were thrown to us. Gabe really surprised me, though. He loved it last year and talked and talked about it, but this year he thought it was too loud. He did enjoy the bands and was marching around when we got home but while we were there he didn't really get into it.
It's a fun little tradition I hope we can continue.

Your Christmas Tree looks beautiful! :) It reminds me of our last year! (I might still do that if mama let me...lol)
Looks like ya'll had a good time at the parade! It was quite chippy for the Frontier Christmas-I put on dad's field jacket (and was quite stylish no doubt!) The picture of all three of them is SO very adorable!! Can't wait to see ya'll at Christmas!!

I love the picture of all three helping so diligently. We seem to keep a chair in our kitchen to since Raegan loves to "cook", and I'm sure before too long we will have another little fellow who will be more than willing to help as well. Very cute!
