Making the money

These guys attempted a little business adventure today.

They stuck it out for 3 hours and where rewarded for their effort by the kind neighbours driving by. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning.

11 months

A Little Summer Treat

We made ourselves some fresh lemonade today, and it was so good. Mya was happy to help out with juicing the lemons, but she wouldn't try the lemonade. She will only drink water and nothing else; she didn't even like the smell of the lemons.

On Monday night I took the older three kids to their swim team banquet and Nae stayed home with the other two. They apparently convinced him to haul out the water table because I found these pictures on the camera.

I'm guessing that all that stuff piled up behind them (chairs and the tipped over picnic table) was an effort to keep Laney on the porch and away from the stairs. I didn't get any reports of her falling down the stairs so it must have worked.

All Together

The kids and I where able to spend the past week in VA visiting my family, and of course we had to attempt a little photo shoot of all the cousins together for the first time.

I'm afraid the boys are still outnumbered by the girls.

Terrible lighting on this picture, but I think it's cute anyway. Levi and Avilene were "talking" and smiling at each other.

 

Not only did we have 10 kids 8 and under around everyday, but we also survived Bible school every night. It was a week to remember! 

July 5 and Catching Up

So, I've been involved in a little painting project that has taken up all of my free time lately. Pictures (hopefully) coming soon. In the mean time, here's a little re-cap post of what we've been up to over the last several days.

David, Emma, and Avilene have been here visiting this week, and we got to celebrate the 4th with them yesterday. (Alena insisted on wearing blue.) 

I finally got around to making the kids a sprinkler as seen on Pinterest and they tried it out on the trampoline which has been the only use the trampoline has gotten lately due to the heat.

Eden enjoyed playing in the mud the sprinkler made more than the actual water.

Other than that, our only time outside has been spent at the pool. I'm so glad that we now have more swimmers than non-swimmers so we can enjoy being in the water.

Not sure what's up with these two and their crazy faces.
