Because it's so hot...

almost all of our outside time has included some type of water play. Both at the lake (that Nae calls the Redneck Riviera) and also at the splash pad.

So apparently all of our girls have enjoyed pulling up to look out the back door. Here they are, can you tell who is who?

It's Alena, then Eden, and then Mya.

I couldn't find a picture of Gabriel standing at the door (maybe because there were no siblings out side to look at?) but I did find this picture of him at 11 months and I thought it was so cute. What a little man! and he looks so big - I can't believe he was walking that well in those big 'ole boots at the age Eden is at now.

who keeps us all on track.
The one who works so hard all day and then comes home and spends his time taking care of us
The one who never complains about taking out the trash, or cooking dinner, or cleaning the bathroom...

The one who plays soccer every evening with his kids and all the neighborhood kids too.
The one who so patiently pushes them on the swing
The one who finds a way to fix just about anything.

We love you, Nae. You are for sure "the one" for us. Happy Father's Day!

Another VA trip

The kids and I took advantage of Nae being gone this week and went to VA to see the fam.

As you can see there has been lots of water play (despite the cold temps) and fun with cousins. Gabe even caught a little minnow in his net while we were at the lake today. We're all ready to see Daddy tomorrow, though.

A perfect day for a picnic

The first Saturday in June always means it's time for Nae's annual work picnic.

I think we can say it was a very good day.

10 months

Time marches on, and Eden is now 10 months old! She is a happy, crawling, jabbering baby . She loves her Daddy too as you can see below.

Celebrating with Simon

Today Simon (our cousin) is 1 year old and we went over last night for a little party fun. Uncle Nee had set up a baby pool and a Slip 'n' Slide both which were throughly enjoyed.

I know boys aren't supposed to be beautiful, but seriously is he not a beautiful child?

Eden wasn't too sure about the pool. The water was pretty cold so she didn't stay in for very long.

The "Big Kids" all enjoyed the Slip 'n' Slide, though.

Mya and Alena never really figured out a good sliding position, but they still managed to get pretty wet which was the whole point.

Gabe had no problem figuring out how to slide down and I can only imagine what a party with 5 or 6 boys and one of these things would be like. I'm sure someone would end up getting injured :)

Somehow, I didn't get any pictures of Savannah, but I thought this one was so funny. They both seem to be saying, "Hey! how did you get in here?" Simon and Eden are only 2 months apart so I'm sure they'll be playing together a lot in the future.
