Mya in pigtails

I was all prepared to give Mya (and Alena) a good haircut sometime this week, but after seeing how cute these pigtails were today I don't know if I'll do it or not.

We've come a long way since this:
and, I love these pj's that Noi's friend brought Mya back from his trip to the Philippians. As you can see, Mya likes them too.

Quick pics

I don't really have anything fun or exciting to say and these are the only pictures that I've taken since we came back from SC and VA. We've been busy enjoying the gorgeous spring weather and now that I've finally started feeling better, have been out and about more just haven't taken any pictures. Part of that pretty weather means growing, green grass and with that, Nae had to cut the grass for the first time this year. Alena was very fascinated by the lawnmower and stood by the window watching for quite a while. Here she is.

Vacation pictures

The first half of our little vacation trip is over, and while staying in a motel has been fun (my children have talked about it for months) we are all ready to be moving on somewhere else even if it's not going to be as warm in VA as it has been here.
Chrisa and RuthAnne posing on some bleachers at the zoo.
This was a very neat playground and Will loved going down the slide over and over and over.
The three musketeers.
Alena was very unsure about sitting atop this bear statue.
Grandmama and Mya, Chrisa andRuthAnne looking at some monkeys, I believe (and I have no idea who that random girl is behind them.)

Random Alena Pictures

Alena enjoying the pretty weather with a death grip on her lollipop and a scream for anyone who came near. She didn't even like the sucker, but she certainly didn't want anyone taking it away.
The reason that Alena doesn't get to color with markers very often. She loves to use the markers but unless bath time is coming up, I don't usually let her; she doesn't seem to understand which end you hold on to.
And, this is what Alena looks like tonight after a minor face plant at the park today. Yesterday she flipped her chair over (while in it of course) and I was sure a concussion or something was imminent however she was hardly phased. Today, however I was right there watching her as she walked across the playground, she trips, falls, and comes away looking like this. You just can't win.
Lastly, here's one semi decent picture of all three were Alena is the only one smiling nicely.

New Baby Pic

This "New Baby" has definitely become the most photographed of our children in utero. Since I had Alena, my OB has moved into a practice by himself which makes for a even more relaxed atmosphere. The nurse both today and last month just checked the heartbeat with the ultrasound machine which means I got a cute picture. She does it really quick but just from the one picture, I can't believe the change in just four weeks. I mean look at this little thing - at almost 16 weeks he/she looks just like a little person. Today it's arms were even moving around - so cute. Another great thing about the pictures is that it makes it easy for Gabe and Mya to see that there really is a baby in there. Gabe told me, "Look, I think this picture is of a boy." When I asked him how he could tell he said, "Because a girl would have long hair and this baby doesn't have any hair." We'll see how good he is at predicting :)

I had to put these pictures of Alena on because they just make me laugh, and she knows she's funny which makes it even funnier. She wears these things around all the time and really how can you take her seriously looking like this?
