Gabriel and Daddy
Gabriel loves to be outside helping Nae with whatever he happens to be doing. Today that was raking the grass after it had just been mowed. These pictures don't do justice to how funny it was to watch Gabe put the grass in the bag Nae was holding. He was taking this very seriously even tried to get the grass up on the rake with his foot like Nae was doing. Like Father like son for sure.

Here is another of Gabe's favorite activities - "working" in the garage with Nae. There are just all kinds of fun things for him to do in there, and every good workman must also have work glasses that you see him modeling in this picture.

A new haircut and curls
We have recently been amazed as we watch Mya's hair get more and more curly. Now we're not talking ringlets here or anything, but it definitely has some body to it. This after her hair has always been so straight. It was especially curly today for two reasons (1) the weather - it was rainy and thus humid and (2) I gave her a bath this morning where as I usually do that at night and after she sleeps on her hair all night it's pretty flat. These aren't the best pictures of Mya but just try to concentrate on the hair part . :)

And here is Gabriel showing off his new haircut that Mommy gave him. I don't know what possessed me to do this since I am never satisfied with the results. I just hate having to pay to get his haircut when I do fine cutting Nae's. At least it's not in his eyes anymore and after all, hair will always grow back.

BIG bubbles and One Messy Eater
Well, after two weeks of cool weather we made the most of the gorgeous weather we enjoyed today. Gabe and Mya got to try out their big bubble wands that they got in their Easter baskets. As you can see below, Mya didn't quite get hers figured out even though she tried very hard to blow. Gabriel, however blew some really big bubbles.

Mya is usually a very neat eater. In fact, I believe these are the only messy eater pictures we have of her. We had potato soup for supper and she ate 3 bowls full. Most of it did make it into her mouth even though there was still a good bit to clean up from everywhere else.

Easter Festivities
Even though the weather was colder this weekend than it was at Christmas time, we still had a great time celebrating Easter. Noi gave the kids Easter baskets yesterday and they contained these very funny glasses. I can't look at them with these things on and not laugh. Thanks Noi!
Gabriel and I enjoyed dying/decorating eggs yesterday. We did Sesame Street ones and I thought they came out pretty cute. Mya wasn't very impressed with egg-dying so she played with Daddy instead.
I didn't get a picture of them together in their Easter clothes because Gabriel went with Nae this morning early to church to "help" with set-up. A side-note about the dress Mya has on. A lady at church who is great about giving me hand-me-downs for Mya gave it to me when her little girl who is now three out grew it. Another lady at church this morning told me that her daughter who is now six also wore it. It is so nice to not have to buy new all their clothes!

More Sunday pics
I guess since we took pictures last Sunday morning, Gabriel now thinks we must do it every week. Yesterday after both he and Mya were ready he said, "Daddy aren't we going to take pictures?" Nae did take them out and got this very sweet shot of them laughing at each other.

And here is the funny picture from this round of attempts. I have no idea what they were doing but it looks like Nae caught the giraffe in mid-air. The next shot was of them both looking down at the giraffe on the ground.
We usually go over to Pathu and Mathu's for supper and visiting on Sunday evening. Yesterday the weather was so nice that we decided to haul the Hummer over for some outside fun. Our front yard and the street are rather hilly and Gabe isn't heavy enough to get any traction so most of the time they ride on it here, Nae has to follow around and give periodic pushes. It did great at their house, however and as you can see cousin Savannah loved it. I think she would have ridden as long as Gabe drove her around. She even added her own motorcycle sounding sound affects.
Here are the girls (they're only two months apart) giving the hummer a little test drive. They weren't actually able to press the gas pedal, however so they just stayed put, turned the steering wheel, and chatted on the pretend phone.
