More sibling pics
Here's our crew all ready for bed. Sorry for the lack of pictures lately - we've been busy adjusting to our new routine, but haven't had too many picture worthy moments. As Gabe said the other day, "it seems like Alena has been here forever." Even Mya gets up every morning and stands on her tiptoes to peer into the cradle, "Baby, Baby!"she'll say as if she has to check to make sure Alena is still here.

A fun week!
We've enjoyed having both Mom and Chrisa here this week to help us adjust to life with our newest member. Here's how happy Mya is about having a new little sister.
And here is Gabriel enjoying some read time with Chrisa. He is really going to miss this next week when she is gone.

More pictures of Alena Noi
We are home as of this afternoon and trying to settle back in to some kind of routine. Alena seems to be doing well at least she is eating, sleeping and pooping which is all you can really ask a two day old baby to do. Gabriel was very excited for us to be home today and stood beside the cradle saying, "When is the 'new baby' going to wake up?" Mya was excited that I was home but didn't pay much attention to Alena except when she started crying at which point Mya also started to cry. Hopefully, everyone will make a quick adjustment to having this new little one around.

Elephants and Frogs..Oh My!!
We recently got Mya this elephant towel so she could be a "big girl" and save the "baby" towels for the new baby. I think she is just so cute with it on, but of course I am a little biased :) Also, I've posted some pics of Gabriel in his frog towel which he has had for a while but still loves to wear around while hopping like a frog.

Our first try at video
Well, our kids have done other things lately besides play in the pool but I thought this video was so cute that I wanted to share - hope it works! Mya was getting the biggest kick out of having Gabriel splash her. She was really laughing harder than this at the beginning but by the time I got the camera out she had slowed down a little. They can have the most fun together!

Water Fun - Day 2
As promised, here are the playing in the sprinkler pictures. This first picture of Mya was as close as she got to the water. I guess she likes to know what she is getting into and walking into a stream of randomly shooting water is not her idea of fun. She even got upset when the water would start to splash on the steps where she was sitting. In her defense, I did have to wake her up from her nap (it was already 4 o'clock) so she probably wasn't in the best humor to do any playing. Scroll on down to see Gabriel enjoying some water fun.

In other news, I am very happy to say that I received my last progesterone shot today and the best news is that they seemed to have worked since I have not had any pre-term labor problems and thus no early trips to the hospital, steroid shots, etc. I only have about a week and a half left until I'm considered "full term." We are all getting very anxious to meet this new little one and pray for a healthy baby.

Water Fun
We took advantage of the 90 degree weather we had yesterday and the kids enjoyed their little wade pool for the first time this year (yes, in April!) Here are the pics to show how much fun they had. I don't think Mya is smiling in any of these pictures but she really did have a good time. I thought she might not like the cold water very much but she got right in. Also a little plug for the rash guard shirts - I am very glad that these are popular now and so easy to come by. They save a lot of time putting sun screen on everywhere and I don't have to worry about sunburns. Oh , the pain these would have saved me when I was a kid!

Of course, after the pool got old, there was plenty of water to carry all over the yard and mix with the dirt to make mud. Here's Gabe enjoying digging in some of the mud.
Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the kids in the sprinkler from this afternoon. I can say that Mya most definitely did not enjoy the sprinkler, but Gabe had a blast!
